Matthew Cooper studied illustration at Harrow College of Higher Education and since graduating has worked as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. Matthew's illustrations utilise a variety of techniques and media; from collage and found imagery to painting and drawing, from photography to computer based work. He is particularly interested in the use of typographic and strong graphic elements within his work. Bill Cahalan is an Illustrator and flash animator with over 15 years of experience creating work for print, products, new media / websites, and flash animation.

As an illustrator Cahalan has worked in both traditional and new media art forms. Cahalan’s work has included advertising, editorial illustration, portraits, character design, and web animation with a focus on entertainment and consumer products. André Ceolin is a self-taught illustrator from Brazil He started his first attempt at sketching around the age of four when his father brought home some reams of paper from work. It was in that moment that he fell in love with painting and drawing. André initially got a degree in pharmacy at UNIMEP. Though he worked in this field for several years, his artistic passion was too strong to ignore. As a young father, he was surrounded by beautiful children’s books and was always drawn to the spontaneity of the imagery. He then decided to switch gears and studied at School of Visual Arts in NYC, Melies, and Escola Panamericana de Artes to develop a signature look and learned new illustration techniques. Mattia was born in Cuneo, a small town surrounded by the beautiful Italian Alps. At 2-3 years old, besides eating a lot of pasta, his father (an artist in his own right!) introduced and encouraged Mattia to draw. As a result, he spent most of his time creating funny images on every surface he could find. When Mattia grew up, he decided to study illustration at the European Institute of Design (IED) in Turin. Within eight months of graduation, he landed his first Illustration job, a book titled My First Picture Dictionary for Rass Language House, Hong Kong. Nancy Chiu is an Orange County based illustrator. She draws inspiration from her daily observation of nature, human relationships and her personal experiences with both. She often combines elements from different species to create illustrated metaphors.

For several years I lead a double life. During the day I worked for a Design/Illustration studio producing work in a wide variety of styles for many different clients. Whilst in my spare time I was exploring more creative preoccupations though self-directed projects, often just enjoying a bit of creative freedom away from the pressures of the commercial world and being told what to do all the time.

Bringing together my love of drawing and geeking out on the computer, these quite often ended up as screen prints. Screen print is a process I’ve grown to love because of the restraints it imposes, I loved trying to create a sense of depth with just three or four layers. Often mistakes would be surprisingly pleasing.

After a while of incubation this work began attracting commercial clients (as I hoped it would) and eventually I made the leap to doing it full time.

My work naturally veers towards that blurry border point between science and nature. Recently I’ve become aware of how much I’m influenced by the countryside in which I live, and my tendency to fictionalise it through drawing.

My ambitions with my work are to keep making it better and continue to evolve as an artist. Presently my output mutated into a two pronged beast; I make these airbrushed sci-fi landscapes and then more hand drawn limited palette pieces – my aim is to carry on joining the dots in between these two styles somehow unifying them more.

Michael Cho is a freelance cartoonist/illustrator based in Toronto. He has drawn stories for books such as Batman Black and White for DC and X-Men First Class for Marvel. Ping is an illustrator grew up in Taiwan where she studied Chemistry. After working at a newspaper publisher in Taiwan as a visual designer for four years, she went on to study Illustration at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. His poster for John Lee Hooker won a Gold Medal in the San Fancisco Society of Illustrators, and won a place in the New York Society of Illustrators annual show and book- Illustrators 42 (Watson-Guptil, 1998). He has in fact created more than 80 posters for a variety of venues and bands. His original paintings hang in the halls of the Pentagon, as a part of the US Air Force Art program. His work has been published in the Los Angeles Society of illustrators annual book, and in Print magazine's regional design annual. In 1995, he won the bronze medal for advertising in the San Francisco society of illustrators show, in1996 he won gold, silver, and bronze medals in the San Francisco society of illustrators show.

Christopher Peterson was born in New York in 1957, and grew up in Westport, Connecticut. Tamara currently lives in beautiful Hampshire, England where she continues to freelance for a range of clients and produce images of local wildlife. She is also expanding her work through her involvement with the Winchester Cathedral Scribes, the Prince’s School of Traditional Arts and various local creative groups. Chris Cocozza, an award winning romance bookcover artist, has illustrated 100's of book covers for major publishers across the United States and around the world.

Most recently, he won the 2010 Dunes and Dreams RWA cover contest award for "Best Historical Romance" for "His Conquest" by Diana Cosby.

As a young person, his talent was recognized by Jack Davis, one of Mad Magazines' creators and famed cartoonists, who then helped to mentor Chris early in his artistic life.

Mr. Davis provided perspective, insight and grounding at a very critical time, and helped Chris to understand the demands and commitments needed to pursue an artist's life.

Chris started his academic career by studying in New York City at various institutions of higher education; The School of Visual Arts, The Arts Students League and the National Academy of Design where he honed his skills as a traditional painter and draftsman.

Following in the footsteps of some of his most inspirational artists and teachers, Chris set out to traditionally paint the figure for the bookcover industry, first breaking in with the western and young adult genres, and expanding to romance, action and mystery genres.

In the early 90's, with the advent of digital media, Chris easily made the transition to the new techniques and tools without sacrificing his mastery of the "traditional techniques".

Chris was one of the first romance illustrators to embrace the new technology and continues to be one of it's foremost pioneers into the 21st century. His work is studied in many universities across the country.

Chris continues to embrace the incredible joy that these tools and creating great illustrative images bring him and others.

Ken Coffelt, an illustrator since 1986, has created three distinctive styles used by clients in advertising, design, publication and editorial fields. His primary medium has moved from traditional acrylic airbrush to a digital medium. To maintain his traditional signature style, he has created his own library of original acryllic backgrounds and textures which is then imported into his original sketches. He has received numerous awards for his editorial illustrations including Print Magazine’s Award of Excellence and Best of Newpaper Design.

Her work has appeared in several books and magazines, including The Art of Mickey Mouse, The Art of Barbie, When Rover Just Won’t Do, “The San Francisco Examiner”, and more. During that time He designed 24 animated episodes of Troubles the Cat for the Cartoon Network and CTW (Children Television Network), designed and animated Children shorts films for HBO (two of the programs won an Emmy and a Peabody award), he designed openers for the French TF!. Over the last 10 years he has done close to 20 children's books for editorial companies like Marshall Cavendish, Viking, GP Putnam, Zanner-Bloser, Houghton Mifflin, Warner, Golden Books, Zondervon, Chronicle, Blue Apple books and Skypony. “I see life in colour,” declares fashion illustrator Veronica Collignon, and looking at her portfolio full of light, colourful imagery, it’s hard to argue. But she takes her obsession with colour even further in her everyday life. For instance, she has a collection of nail polish bottles that she’s never used. “I always end up buying them because I am drawn by the colours! I even remember names and numbers by a form of colour-coding in my mind,” she says.

That quirky sense of fun carries over into her artwork, but it’s underlined by great talent, professionalism and a fantastic technique. Growing up in Mexico, from a young age she was inspired by drawing and creativity, and her favourite illustrators include David Downton, Garance Doré and Izak Zenou. She worked alongside the latter for two years.

She later moved from her home city of Guadalajara to Paris, and then to Madrid, to study. Eventually, she ended up in New York where she now has a range of clients in fashion, retail, advertising, cosmetics and more.

New York’s cosmopolitan mix is the perfect thing to inspire her. She loves to people watch, and enjoys exploring other cultures, with Moroccan and Japanese at the top of her list at the moment.

Veronica studied on the Fashion Studies programme at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid, and later gained certificates in Fashion and Fine Art from Parsons The New School.

Projects begin with Veronica learning about her client and the audience they want to reach. Research is key, before she plays with different looks and ideas, and then settles on the best composition. After the sketching comes her favourite part – adding the colour.

Whimsical, colourful and fun are words commonly used to describe Veronica’s style. Her work has the feel of classic fashion illustration about it, with striking graphical forms, a gestural style, and lovely brushwork and inking.

Mark has been an artist since childhood, and has worked professionally as a graphic designer and illustrator since 1984. Although he started as a traditional painter using acrylics, his preferred medium is now digital, and he works solely as a vector artist using Adobe Illustrator. His work relies predominantly on a calligraphic line, with color gradient fills, and a humorous touch.

Laura Coyle creates distinctive art with wide appeal. Her clients include major brands like Target, Amazon.com, Disney and publications including Better Homes and Gardens and The Wall Street Journal.

Laura made her first foray into product design with Hasbro. She was called upon to refresh the classic Parcheesi board game, a design that had remained unchanged since the early 1900's. The challenge was to create illustrations that would highlight the game's origins in India and enhance its appeal to kids today. In working on Parcheesi, she discovered a love for designing products that can connect with people every day.

Since then, Laura's gift bag, wrap and paper ware designs have appeared on the shelves at Target, Papyrus and Hallmark.

Laura grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and earned her BFA from Auburn University. She started her freelance career living in the East Village in New York City, dropping her portfolios off with art directors while working part time as an assistant to renowned jazz photographer Jimmy Katz. Laura now lives back in her hometown with her husband Clayton, an architect, in their 1950's ranch house which they renovated together.

Allen and his wife Susan founded the design and illustration studio Plankton Art Co. in 1996. Their studio’s most notable project to date is the collection of 400 species identification illustrations that are on permanent display at the American Museum of Natural History’s Milstein Hall of Ocean Life in New York. Allen’s award-winning book, Whitman Illuminated: Song of Myself (Tin House Books [US], Jonathan Cape [UK]) is an illustrated, hand-lettered, 256-page edition of Walt Whitman’s epic poem. The book won Best of Show in 3×3 Magazine‘s International Illustration Show 2015, and a Gold Medal in Society of Illustrators 58.

Robert Crawford graduated with a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design. His paintings have appeared on the cover of major magazines such as Fortune, Business Week, The Atlantic and U.S. News and World Report as well as book covers for best-selling books published by Random House, Penguin/Putnam, Avon and other major publishers. His work is popular with advertising agencies and is much sought after by Fortune 500 companies like IBM, Dupont and Ford. Robert Crawford was chosen by the German car maker, Volkswagen, to do six paintings for a book which celebrated Volkswagen's 50th anniversary. Robert's work has won numerous awards from the Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, Graphis and Print. His paintings have been included in group shows in New York, Japan and Germany and he participated in the United Nation's sponsored show on the environment in New York City. That painting was featured on CBS's Sunday morning with Charles Osgood. Robert Crawford's work has been selected for permanent collection by the United States government and major corporations such as British Petroleum. Some other notable collector's include, Richard Reeves, the presidential historian, and Edward Gordon of ABC television.Robert's studio is located in northwest Ct.

After giving marine biology a try in college, Susan decided to fall back on a more stable and lucrative profession: illustration. With her artist/writer husband Allen Crawford, she formed Plankton Art Company in 1999. Susan's stylized, graceful forms are largely inspired by nature and mid-century modernism. She has worked for Target, Warner Bros., Chronicle Books, Knopf, Ride Snowboards, Hasbro, National Geographic Kids Magazine, Discovery Channel and The Smithsonian National Zoo. The most ambitious project she's ever worked on was a series of 400 hand-rendered identification key illustrations of fish, plants and other undersea creatures for The American Museum of Natural History's Milstein Hall of Ocean Life, where her drawings are on permanent display. Peter Crowther graduated in 1987 from the London College of Printing with a First Class Honors in Graphic Design. Then went onto the Royal College of Art in 1987-1989 graduating with an MA(DES RCA) in Graphic Design. He then worked for six months in one of the first truly multimedia design companies, Decode Design. During this time he beta tested the first version of Photoshop and went onto leave and set up as a freelance illustrator/animator. The journey from working with photomontage, through to photo-retouching and later with realistic 3D has led to many interesting and varied jobs and has been incredibly rewarding. From stamps for the Royal mail up to 96 sheet posters for P&O and the odd title sequence. Today we continue to use the cutting edge 3D software often speaking directly with the chief programmers to request and test new features.
